I am battling cancer. I was transferred to an out-of-state hospital for a liver resection. When I woke, I found my fiance beside me, 17 hours from home. I asked him why he had come, he said “The day we get married I want to be able to look you in the eye and have you know that when I say ‘in sickness and in health,’ I mean it.”

I just spent the day in bed after eating at JR Cafe. I know how a sickly fear of eating lobster because the taste of it being regurgitated is DISGUSTING. I just totally wasted one of my precious days of winter break. On a happier note, SAT scores came out today :) My 150 point increase in Literature was the highlight of my day! I have the urge to pick up one of my many books lying around, not the ones I’m forced to read for school, and just indulge. I’m kind of tired of this school thing even though I know it’s “good for me”. Can I help that I want to hold onto the last ounce of childhood I still feel like I have left? I want to read and get away from all of this. I’m tired of worrying...
